Most recently I rediscovered this while building some diagrams to document processes for work. Previously I’d open up Inkscape right away and start to draw, but it was a tedious process. Lining stuff up just right, then realizing that steps are missing, then re-lining stuff up just right, then listening to coworkers explain other steps that are missing, then crying softly in a corner. It’s a tiring process.

We love our computers, but use the right tool for the job. Buy a pencil and a notebook. Figure out what needs to happen on paper. Then do it.
